FINE aRT

Developed during her graduate sculpture program, Arlena’s fine art practice explores the intersection of memory and mortality. The work is a tribute to the enduring influence of family, specifically navigating the profound impact of losing her mother at a young age. These sculptures examine the delicate, often invisible threads that connect life and death. By drawing on ancient mythology and the navigation of the afterlife, she turns personal history into a tangible exploration of the human experience. Each piece is an attempt to preserve a moment in time, utilizing form and texture to articulate the complexity of grief and the resilience of love.
